Located about 220 kms - 440 kms towards the South West coast of Kerala, the Lakshadweep islands offer tourists one of the world's most astounding and panoramic views backed by a unique travelling experience either by air or by sea.

Each island has its own exclusive features that include its white sandy beaches, blue lagoons and crystal clear water. As you may already know, the underwater view off the coast of Lakshadweep is breathtaking and unique to this region. The lagoons offer excellent potential for a variety of water sports like swimming, wind-surfing, diving, snorkelling and kayaking. That sums up in a nut shell why Lakshadweep has grown rapidly and become a one-of-its-kind 'Adventure Sports – Eco Tourism' destination.

Whitesands Global Pvt. Ltd. owns and manages a total of 225 acres of pristine property on the islands. All the beach properties have been identified by us to develop beach resorts of international standard.

The 225 acres of property that Whitesands owns is split between 15 islands, of which 5 of them are uninhabited. The first of the beach resorts in the inhabited islands of Agatti, Kavaratti and Kadmath will be ready to launch by January 1st, 2017 with 60 ready to occupy cottages . As per plan the 5 uninhabited islands have 150 cottages, none less than 7 star property in terms of luxury.

The remaining 10 islands will have an upper limit of 200 cottages. From beach front properties to cottages seen like in the tropics these remaining cottages will suit the pockets of the non-splurging kind. Nevertheless, you still experience personalized services in remarkable settings which are as varied and unique as each of the guests.

As you may have read earlier, our objective is to build nature friendly beach resorts and come up with recreational activities in and around the islands, without allowing it to lose its natural grace. Every cottage has been designed proficiently so that the tourists enjoy every bit of their stay at their 'temporary homes' on the island.

Our commitment to develop quality cottages that meet the highest of standards in terms of sustainability was a huge challenge. Nonetheless, after continuous effort and dedication from our associates and our team, the Whitesands project was successfully flagged off.

The first project which Whitesands initiated was with the Taj Vivanta group and this resort will be open to the guests by February, 2016 with 40 cottages. This high end luxury resort is located at the Agatti Island near the Agatti airport, the only existing airport in Lakshadweep and the resort will be managed and marketed by the Taj group themselves.

The other resort projects under the Whitesands management are being planned at Kavaratti, Kadmath and Agatti islands amongst others. These resorts will be equipped with water sports facilities of international standards such as PADI Scuba Diving, Jet-ski's, wave surfing equipment and also with well-equipped modern fishing boats.

Various professional agencies and our associates are involved in each step of building these cottages to ensure that they are eco-friendly and sustainable and also to ensure that there are no threats to the otherwise pristine environment of Lakshadweep.
